Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai Full Body Massage is a specialist therapeutic treatment for relieving stress, tension, stiff neck, back and shoulder pain, and sports injuries including muscle and tendon strain.
Traditional Thai Massage technique is known as the most holistic type of therapy. It combines both modern scientific knowledge of the anatomy of physiology with the disciplines of traditional oriental medicine. It employs combinations of rhythmic acupressure, body rocking and deep assisted stretches to relieve muscular tension and enables more blood to be carried throughout the body.
Thai Combination Massage
A Thai massage with Oil combines techniques of Thai and Swedish massage, using acupressure and gentle stretches to promote relaxation and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
The physical benefits of a Thai Oil massage include relief of tight and aching muscles, increase flexibility and mobility and an improvement in circulation. It will also leave you feeling calmer and can reduce stress and anxiety.
Aromatherapy Massage
This is the most relaxing massage that we offer here at Relief Thai Spa. Aromatherapy Massage exploits the ability of the body to absorb therapeutic natural oils extracted from plants.
A trained aromatherapist will skilfully choose a combination of oils that will help relax and stimulate you, according specifically to your individual needs. They will then apply these oils with a light pressure to the muscles, promoting beneficial changes in your mind and body as you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage involves working the soft tissue of the body, to ease day-to-day stresses and muscular tension, and to promote relaxation. The technique involves long, kneading strokes combined with rhythmic tapping strokes and movement of the joints. Swedish massage also increases blood flow to muscles which in turn increases nutrient supply, aiding recovery and increases flexibility by allowing muscle fibres to glide smoothly thereby preventing trigger point (knots) formation.
Deep Tissue Massage
A deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues. It is especially helpful if you suffer from a stiff neck, back tightness and shoulder pain.
The techniques are similar to those used in a classic massage therapy but the strokes are slower and the pressure is deeper. Talk to your therapist about the specific areas you would like to concentrate on.
